NBBJ's Tim Johnson Recognized with Prestigious CVU Fellowship for Leadership in High-Rise Design
NBBJ Partner Tim Johnson has been named a Fellow of the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU), one of the profession’s highest honors recognizing individuals whose leadership has advanced the design, performance and impact of tall buildings and cities worldwide.
Among the industry’s most respected voices in high-rise design, Tim has helped shape transformative developments in major global cities, including New York, Singapore, Seattle and Jakarta. His work reflects a deep understanding of how density, sustainability and human experience can come together to create lasting value for developers, communities and the urban environment.
Bestowed by an international cohort of peers, the CVU Fellowship recognizes Tim’s contributions to advancing the field through design leadership, research, mentorship and industry engagement. The distinction places him within the CVU College of Fellows, a select group of practitioners whose work has influenced the future of vertical urbanism on a global scale.
Tim's longstanding leadership within the organization further reflects his commitment to the profession. A past Chairman of CVU, he continues to play an active role in shaping conversations around urban growth, innovation and the evolving role of tall buildings in cities worldwide.
Tim will be recognized at the 2026 CVU Summit Awards Ceremony and Dinner on October 28 in London.
